Production Coordinator - 6.9.2010

Production Coordinator Position Overview: The production coordinator assists the creative team in graphic production for all types of projects. The production coordinator should be adept in using Adobe Creative Suite and ftp software. The production coordinator must have knowledge of printing process, and be able to pre-flight & collect files.

Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Prepare print-ready digital files of offset & digital printing
- Perform revisions and file-prep when needed
- Proofread & ensure all risk management areas are fulfilled
- Provide back-up support to the Traffic Coordinator
- Track production volume
- Manage client FTP site log-ins

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The position of Production Coordinator requires an aptitude for the following skill sets: Design and typography, organization, communication, pre-press and print production, and possess an attention to detail.

Qualifications: A Production Coordinator should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent time management, communication and follow-through skills. The candidate should have a significant level of understanding of pre-press and print production, as well as demonstrate an ability to multi-task. The candidate should be a quick learner and have strong software skills in the following programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Fetch, and Microsoft Office.

Specifics:
- College degree with a concentration in Graphic Design, or related field
- 2+ years of related job experience
