Interactive Designer - Fulltime Freelance

We are looking for a few strong new media designers who would be responsible for crafting digital media projects �?? from rich media engagements, online advertisements for internal products and sponsors to multi-channel and multi-platform experiences. The team is responsible for understanding business and communication goals, and translating them into unique interactive experiences.
Specific Responsibilities:
The new media graphic designer will concept and design integrated online and offline components to support marketing efforts and website properties in collaboration with marketing, web developers, writers, and project managers. Responsible for design and graphic maintenance of websites, the creation of online ads and rich content emails, and design and maintenance of customer-facing interactive tools.
Requirements: must have at least 2 years experience with interactive media design and possess the following characteristics:
�?� BA, BFA in visual communications or graphic design (or similar experience)
�?� Expertise with design software, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash
�?� Advertising background a plus; understanding of marketing messaging and communication is key
�?� Understanding of practical benefits and limitations of Internet technologies (Shockwave, Flash, Java, DHTML, CGI, AJAX, etc.) This is graphic design position, not a web designer position. You will be creating great designs and campaigns, not necessarily coding web pages
�?� Understanding and strong appreciation for traditional graphic design; color theory, typography and layout
�?� Self-motivated, a natural problem-solver, and a good communicator
�?� Must be comfortable following direction, thrive on multidisciplinary teams, and be able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
�?� Detail oriented and efficient in production and optimization for the web and mobile devices
