Moving On Up: Transitions for Junior Designers
A design education focuses very intensely on preparing for and landing a student's first job. It does not typically touch on the “what next” phase. This panel event will help junior designers with advice and guidance on a huge array of things, such as setting career goals, what kind of job to search for to further their careers and goals, the importance of and tips on networking, updating their portfolios from a student book to a professional book, salary expectation/negotiation, interviewing as a professional, and (something that many haven’t done before) resigning.
